Mr Hudson background / goof: He hasn't any nephews or nieces (0'56") – this is flatly contradicted by Your Obedient Servant. He has been exchanging Christmas cards with his brother-in-law for many years – this implies he had/has a sister who is now dead or, possibly, estranged (see also Why is Her Door Locked?).

Lawrence background: He has an aunt in Shropshire (2'28").

Goof: Would a bell jangling down in the servants' hall really be this audible in the morning room? (4'07")

Goof: There is a property mark on the bottom of the salver (30'09").

Elizabeth background: She is three months pregnant (i.e. she conceived in mid-September) (34'55"). The baby is thus due in mid-June.
